What does creativity mean?
To me creativity is the thoughts and ideas to innovate or create something new, exciting and original.
Pro's and con's of how elements helped you be creative?
some of the pro's would have to be equipment and products we had available to use, from internet sites right up to the camera we used. For example, the HD cameras we used were were very good so we didn't have to worry about the picture looking bad. we used the computer to upload our footage on, edit it (using Final Cut Express) and to use the internet, especially Youtube, Blogger, Twitter and Facebook. The best thing about all of these things is how easy they are to access and how easy they all are to use. Final Cut Express was a big part to the creativity of my product, this is because it has lots of different transitions, effects and other editing techniques on there to help you bring out the best in your footage and this really can boost creativity.
A con could probably be the time period I was given to produce the music video, this made it slightly rushed which made creativity hard as you we were sort of putting in things to make it longer rather than adding it in for affect.
I think if you compared my children's film and music video you would see a vast difference in the editing crispness and overall narrative in the videos. for example, less mistakes would occur and the continuity would be sharper, also, i feel it would have become more advanced, using more editing techniques and making it more aesthetically pleasing to the viewer.
